In this course, you will learn all about the principles and practices of how to deploy, manage, and maintain SharePoint. You will walk through each phase of a deployment as you plan, install, rollout, and support SharePoint in the real world. Topics covered include planning server topology, installing and configuring WSS and MOSS servers, upgrading from WSS 2.0 to 3.0, monitoring the server to detect problems early, configuring authentication, securing external access with SSL, setting up security and permissions, controlling site settings, backing up and restoring data, branding, setting up network infrastructure (DNS/AD/IIS) to support SharePoint, creating and applying site quotas, and managing MOSS My Sites, importing profiles, and other shared services.
